Matthew's Book Fund

Matthew loved books, reading, and the library. In fact, reading and his favorite book series were key items he mentioned about himself and discussed in a letter he wrote in November 2008 to a soldier going to Iraq. When describing himself in the letter, he wrote "First of all I love to read."
As part of his legacy, we have started a book fund through the Hennepin County Library Foundation to purchase books for the Washburn Library.

To donate:

Their Spring 2009 newsletter, Speaking Volumes, included an article about Matthew (note that it is on page 7).

We hope that his book fund will continue to grow and provide books for many years to come.

Below is a listing of Books that Have Been Purchased through Matthew's Book Fund. Note that if you click on the title, it will take you to that book's main page at the Hennepin Country Library. Perfect for checking out the book's summary, reading professional reviews, and requesting/putting the book "on reserve." Happy reading!
